Our first trip out this year was great. The weather was perfect and we kept reeling them in. I took a few pics and put together this movie for you to enjoy. - Bass Master

As we fished during the pelting of ice and rain on Saturday unable to hold a spot due to the high winds, we managed to pull in about a dozen largemouth bass, obviously gorging themselves for the winter to come. The largest at 17.5 in. about 4 lb. with a couple of northern pikes in between, largest being approximately 25 in. Good news for us nature lovers as we fished on Friday, the joy of seeing our lonely swan paired up once again was a sight for sore eyes. You haven't heard such a beautiful sound until you've heard 2 swans fly by in unison. See you in the spring! - Bass Master.

Another good weekend of fishing. The bass fishing was a little slow, but we still managed to put a couple of nice ones in the boat. Perch and specs still seem to be on the bite, and both were plentiful. Minnows and small jigs still seem to be the best bet for them. - Loon Cove Lodger

A pretty good weekend of fishing even with all of the boat traffic. The Specs and Perch were on the bite. Minnows and small jigs seemed to work best, although worms would put the occasional fish in the bucket. - Loon Cove Lodger

Well, the fishing was terrible for the remainder of the week and weekend. I caught one 26 inch Northern and one 22 inch Gar on a dead minnow overnight. The bass were as bad as they've been for me this year. I reeled in 3 over the whole week with the biggest at 15.5 inches. The kids again had a good time dropping their lines in for gills off of the dock. - Bass Master

I had fun fishing the weekend of the 4th, having my best luck on Saturday before noon. In the sandbar area leeches worked well, getting numerous red-eyes, a northern and two 15 inch Largemouths. There was alot of lake traffic which made it a bit of a challenge, but all in all, a fun weekend. - Tom

Unfortunately, the fishing over the holiday weekend was less than desirable. You can blame it on the hustle and bustle of boats during the daylight hours or the abundance of mayflies. Either way, it wasn't a great weekend for fishing. However, the kids were able to toss a line from the dock and catch a few small bluegills. I’ll spend some time on the water this week and submit another report when they’re biting again. - Bass Master

The Largmouth were hitting like mad following the storms this past week. Using a spinner just off of the Southern sandbar worked like a charm. We set out about an hour before dusk and were catching monsters. As you can see in the picture below, the fishing was excellent. - Bass Master
